Wizard Academy
Meet Roy H. Williams “The Wizard of Ads” & Founder of Wizard Academy.
Founded by Roy & Pennie Williams in 1987, the Wizard of Ads Marketing Group is a collection of consulting firms. Our purpose is to help small business owners achieve business growth not just by percentages, but by multiples! There are currently 52 Wizard of Ads “partners,” located across the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Australia and Latin America.
Roy H. Williams is the marketing consultant known as “The Wizard of Ads,” having been dubbed that nickname by an early client. Roy authored a book trilogy bearing the same name and created a cutting-edge communications school (Wizard Academy).
His books and Monday Morning Memos are a constant source of fascination and entertainment for his students and friends around the globe. His first book, The Wizard of Ads®, was voted Business Book of the Year in 1998.
His second book, Secret Formulas of the Wizard of Ads, was named the Wall Street Journal’s number one Business Book in America in 1999 and became a New York Times bestseller. The third book in the trilogy, Magical Worlds of the Wizard of Ads reached bestseller status again in late 2001.

Wizard Academy is for advertising professionals and business owners, managers and teachers, artists and writers, everyone. What you will learn here can be used in any profession.
Roy is also the author of the Monday Morning Memo. A weekly blog. The majority of these Monday Morning Memos are on subjects that small business owners would find clearly useful and imminently practical.
Roy’s been writing these Monday Morning Memos for 15 years now? And in all that time:
There’s never been a Monday Morning when he didn’t send a Memo.
And he’s never repeated a Memo that had been previously sent.

Will You Become a Wizard?
Contrary to popular belief, wizards are not born – they are self-created. And the process has nothing to do with higher education or special powers: wizardry is attained only through perseverance. Beginning as average people with oversized curiosities, wizards tend to emerge slowly from a long-simmering soup of passion and commitment. Think of them as children who keep tugging mommy’s dress and asking, “Why?”
I say to the students of Wizard Academy. “There are as many kinds of wizards as there are passions in the hearts of humanity, yet a single characteristic is common to them all: wizards love to be fascinated. Refusing to be restricted by the limitations of the body, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Stephen Hawking attained the status of Wizards of Worlds. Read of Henry Ford and the Wright Brothers and you’ll witness the birth of Wizards of Wrenches. Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and Dr. Seuss stand in a centuries-long line of Wizards of Words. Teddy Roosevelt, Mother Teresa, and Martin Luther King were Wizards of a Contagious Dream.”
My question for you is simply this: What kind of wizard will you be?
